Lent at Bellarmine: Spend Time with Christ
Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat House
Dear Friend of Bellarmine,
Pope Francis describes Lent as "a time for believing, for welcoming God into our lives and allowing Him to 'make his dwelling' among us." During Lent, the Pope encourages us to "pause, see, and return to the tenderness of God."
We invite you to ponder God's tenderness while on a Lenten retreat or at a Lenten day or evening program at Bellarmine, where you can enjoy a quiet atmosphere of sacred silence and engage in peaceful prayer and quiet reflection.
Information about our Lenten retreats and programs is listed below. We hope you will join us during Lent as we focus on greater intimacy and union with Christ.
Blessings,
The Bellarmine Team

A Day of Reflection for Men & Women
Fr. Doug Leonhardt, SJ
We will look at Jesus in the desert as an example for our Lenten journey. Then we will look at the way Jesus quenches our deepest thirst, opens our inner eyes to His presence, and unbinds us and sets us free. Ashes will be distributed at this service.

Lord our God,
You formed us from the clay of the earth, and breathed into us the spirit of life, but we turned from your face and sinned.
Through our observance of Lent, help us to understand the meaning of your Son's death and resurrection, and teach us to reflect it in our lives.
In this time of repentance, we call out for your mercy. Bring us back to you and to the life your Son won for us by his death on the cross, for he lives and reigns forever and ever.
AMEN.
